Republic of Buryatia, Алалга delivers a raw yet multifaceted experience with their debut, “Хутагадаха”, introducing a visceral blend of black metal aggression and punk unrefined bludgeoning pace, interwoven with experimental detours that set this work apart from more straightforward offerings in either genre.

At its core, this debut radiates a sense of primal catharsis, refusing to conform to the more polished or orthodox approaches often associated with modern black metal. Алалга does not limit themselves to blackened punk structures. Moments of haunting psychedelia and post-punk are subtly woven into the tracks, creating shifts in atmosphere. This dynamic is particularly pronounced in the latter tracks, where a more introspective and experimental undercurrent emerges, challenging the listener to engage with the material on a deeper level.
