Join Jeremy (One Wildcrafter) and I on a return trip to a SECRET LAKE, "Puddle Lake," we discovered two years ago!!! This time we travel overland by map and compass rather than through the barely navigable creek system. Our efforts are rewarded with fast paced ice fishing action and copious natural brook trout in a hidden glacier carved lake in Northern Ontario which we enjoy all to ourselves.

In all, it takes us 5 hours to reach our destination as we traverse snow covered hills, valleys, and brush choked overgrowth pulling our fully loaded Pelican sleds. This is not a trip for the amateur hot tent winter trekker! Find out if I survive falling into freezing cold water as I accidentally fall through the ice! This is a real life survival challenge!

CONTEST RULES EASTER EGG HUNT

You must find stuffed all 6 hidden "Easter Eggs." Let's test that hunter eye!

2. Find all 6 Easter Eggs with the time stamp in which they appear to win.
3. Jot the Easter egg down with the appropriate time stamp in which it appears into part 2.
4. NO editing comments. Edited comments will be disqualified. Post as many comments as you want, but don't edit them!
5. Start a new comment (comment replies won't count)! DON'T reply to your own comment or anyone else's, I can't track when they are put in!

Along the way, we snare snowshoe hare, gain experience using a hot tent heated by off grid woodstove and cook goat leg and rack of ribs.

In part 2 of the trip, it turns for the worst with sleet, hail and high winds that drive pelting snow and threaten backdraft of smoke into the tent making conditions much more dire. To make matters worse, snow begins to melt forming never ending puddles into the hot tent.

ABOUT THE PRIZE - WHITE CHERT KNIFE

Usable blade length is 4 ½ and almost 2 inches at its widest point. Blade is made from white Flint Ridge chert, Nethers Farm in Ohio. Blade is sharp and durable.
The chert stone was flintknapped and hand-shaped using primitive tools and traditional techniques replicating North American knife artifacts from 9000 years ago.
Blade is hafted into a Elk antler handle and secured using elk blackstrap sinew and a hide glue mixture. Handle is 5inches long and sits comfortably in the hand.
Knife is suitable for decorative or historical display, but it was primarily crafted with utility in mind. This knife is meant to be used can be utilized for skinning and butchering game, processing plants, light woodworking, etc. A fully functional general utility knife with a lightly serrated cutting edge.
