1985 marked the second appearance by Brenda Morie on the Home Cookin' series, her first was in 1983. In this episode, Brenda performs six of her original tunes including Runaway, Did You Realize, Night After Night, Think You Got it Made, Time for Us and Boy.

Accompanying Brenda are Winston Quelch guitar, Ron "Rocko" Vaugeois drums (from One Horse Blue fame), Gord Mathews bass and, Van Wilmot keyboards.

Originally from Edmonton, Brenda is now living on the west coast celebrating thirty plus years as a touring and recording artist and multi-instrumentalist - guitar, flute, ukulele, harmonicas, and penny whistles. Her collaborations with artists such as Chet McCracken, the Grammy-nominated, platinum and two time gold drummer for the Doobie Brothers, brought the release of co-written material on two of Brenda's albums, “After the Rain" and “Through Brenda’s Eyes”.

The Home Cookin' series was jointly funded by CFCN Television and CJAY 92 in support of Alberta homegrown musical talent. The broadcast could be seen on CFCN with monaural sound or, in stereo on CJAY 92, a unique and popular way to watch the series in stereo in the 80's when stereo television did not yet exist.

Home Cookin' was a stereo simulcast co-production of CFCN Television and CJAY 92 in support of Alberta homegrown musical talent. The series was produced and directed by Brian Vos, hosted by Jim Ripley, music director Stewart Myers, executive produced by Hugh Dunne and Bruce Nelson with sound production by Smooth Rock Studios. The series aired from 1981 to 1985.
