Sally is a community academic researcher in the field of disability studies - with a particular interest in the lives of young disabled people as well as assistance animals - as she has a canine partner, Ethan, herself. She has conducted projects with Scope, Canine Partners and the Open University and is co-author of ‘Living Life to the Fullest: Disability, Youth and Voice’.

Sally is passionate about inclusion for all in the church and tries to promote disabled people playing an active part in church life, not just being ministered to but providing ministry themselves.

In this talk, she looks at how her journey towards independence and understanding her own identity has deepened her relationship with God and the community around her.
