In today's video I am talking about the different major office suites available for the Linux desktop and making some general comparisons between their features, price, performance etc. The office suites I looked at are:


LibreOffice (https://www.libreoffice.org/)
WPS Office (https://www.wps.com/)
OnlyOffice (https://www.onlyoffice.com/)
SoftMaker Office (https://www.softmaker.com/)


REASON FOR FOCUSING ON MS OFFICE COMPATIBILITY: Most features are common to all office suites but they may not be cross compatible. No one would be having any problem with LibreOffice if it was completely compatible with Office Open XML files (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx), which it isn't. Compatibility with these formats is important because they are used by almost everyone.
