Owning and operating a sign company isn't easy! Nowadays, every single sign you install (at least in Florida) has to be permitted. Dealing with Cities and Counties isn't the most fun part of the job, but it doesn't have to be the worst part either. Having someone in charge of heading up the work is the key to successfully executing any sign job, and that person needs to be intimate with the local rules, laws, codes and guidelines. And always remember... don't try to cheat the system - if it needs a permit then pull a permit, because shady work will always come back to bite you in the... zoning department, building department, permitting department - or maybe even all three!
