It is very common to see promotions that offer two options: the first one is months without interest and the second, a discount only available in cash payments.
Most people think that “without interest” actually means that, but follow me for this example: you tell a friend of yours the promotion and claim that you prefer the payments rather than the discount, and she offers you to let you use her credit card for the monthly installments given that you pay her every month. Then, she goes to the store and buys the item in cash at the discount price. Did she make profits? Yes! So, if she can do this, the bank or the selling company certainly does, too.
This is an example with the sole purpose to help you look at promotions and finance in a different way.
