Alu Vadi is a authentic Maharashtrian dish which is made up of Alu / colocasia leaves.

Ingredients :
Alu / अळू /colocasia leaves
Besan / Gram flour
Turmeric powder
Asafoetida powder/Hing powder
Salt
Tamrind water
Red Chilly powder
Sesame
Soda
Oil
Water
Coriander powder
Cumin powder/Jeera powder
Jaggery

Preparation :
1) Take besan/ gram flour in a bowl- 1 bowl
2) Add Red Chilly powder , Coriander powder , Cumin powder , turmeric powder, Asafoetida powder/Hing powder, salt to taste , jaggery , tamrind water and water
3) Mix it well
4) Add pinch of soda
5) Spread the paste on back of the leaf evenly
6) Now keep another leaf on top of it and apply the paste
7) Roll the leaf
8) Steam the rolls for 15 minutes
9) Slice he rolls
10) Add oil into a heated pan
11) Add pinch of Asafoetida powder
12) Add seasame seeds
13) Shallow fry the slices until both sides turn golden brown
14) Serve it as snack or can be served with lucnch/dinner
