Finding My Queer Self In Barbados with Ro Ann Mohammed

This week I have the privilege of sitting down with Ro-Ann Mohammed about her experience growing up in Trinidad and finding her Queer self in Barbados. Ro-Ann runs an LGBTQ+ organization called She Barbados (Sexuality Health & Empowerment), dedicated to advocacy for lesbian, bisexual, queer women, and trans people in Barbados. In this episode, Ro-Ann talks to us about her journey of growing up in Trinidad, coming out in Barbados and starting some of the first LGBTQ+ organizations, her traumatic experience of being exorcised, and being homeless, and above all launching Barbados's first pride parade. We understand the story of influential Ro-Ann and what made her into the person she is today. We covered an enormous amount in this episode. You do not want to miss any of it. PERIOD.
