Students were asked to design and build a race car that would travel a minimum of 3m, powered by nothing more than a simple 9-inch balloon. All cars had to be the students' own invention. No pre-made cars or kits were allowed! Students had to apply what they'd learned about forces & motion throughout our unit of study in order to succeed. A prediction and force diagram were created prior to racing and an analysis/reflective essay was completed afterward.
