SEAN SCULLY: Passenger | Artist Talk - Hungarian National Gallery

The Museum of Fine Arts – Hungarian National Gallery is proud to present Sean Scully: Passenger, the first retrospective in Central Eastern Europe of the life’s work of Sean Scully, one of the most important contemporary exponents of abstract art.

For the opening of the exhibition on 14 October 2020, Sean Scully held a talk at the museum, in which he discussed several of his artworks on view. We hope this will help visitors to understand his art, which combines formal reduction with referential complexity, geometric construction with vivid self-expression.
