Tanghulu (Makes 6–8 skewers)

Ingredients:

200g caster sugar
100ml water
Fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, apple pieces, etc.)
6–8 bamboo skewers

Quick Method:

Prep fruit: Wash, dry completely, and skewer 2–4 pieces each.

Make syrup: Heat sugar + water without stirring until 150°C / hard crack stage.

Dip & set: Dip skewers in syrup, let excess drip off, dunk in iced water, then set on baking paper.
