This favorite Harvard fight song was written in 1909 by classmates R.G. Williams (1887-1981) and Sanger B. Steel (1889-1927). After the intro, the march has two repeated strains, then trio (verse), breakup strain (chorus) and repeat the trio; only the final section is heard here. Lyrics:
With Crimson in triumph flashing
'Mid the strains of victory,
Poor Eli's hopes we are dashing
Into blue obscurity.
Resistless our team sweeps goalward
