TARGET AUDIENCE
The activity is for persons working in the field of imaging sciences.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:
Provide brain-based accounts of the causes of perceptual error in the imaging sciences;
Explain why allegations that perceptual error always connotes negligence might be mistaken in many cases;
Identify two strategies for reducing the frequency of perceptual error;
Describe one strategy that better protects a physician's liability in the event of a perceptual error.
