Tracing the rise, fall, and revival of professional bowling, the film opens with archival glimpses of the sport’s golden era in the 1950s and ’60s, then fast-forwards to its near collapse in 1997. Amid this backdrop, newly appointed PBA CEO Steve Miller embarks on a mission to modernize the tour, shaking up traditions and stirring rivalries. At the center of the story are four pro bowlers: Pete Weber, the rebellious son of legendary bowler Dick Weber, whose flashy style clashes with Miller’s vision; Walter Ray Williams Jr., the disciplined, record-breaking champion and Pete’s relentless rival; Chris Barnes, a young father forced to balance family and the grueling road of competition; and Wayne Webb, a once-dominant 20-time champion desperate for one last season to escape financial ruin. As their lives and careers collide, the tour becomes a high-stakes arena of ambition, legacy, and survival.
