25 YEARS AGO, TODAY!

Technically, it was 25 years ago last week - but it was really fun, but brutal match!

This was my first match for FMW (I only did two FMW matches) and it saw me take on Wing Kanemura in a wild stipulation match....I think there was something in the title about a “Spidernet Deathmatch” - with the spidernet made out of barbed wire. WWE allowed me to do this match, as I still had a couple of tours for IWA and this one big match for FMW on my schedule when I signed with WWE.

What made this match unique to me is that I had almost zero input with the creativity. When I met up with Kanemura, it was obvious he had put a great deal of thought into the construction of the match. I heard him out, and just said “sounds good to me” - and we had ourselves a heck of a match!
