In a fierce escalation of hostilities, Hezbollah unleashed a devastating missile barrage on the Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona, overwhelming the Iron Dome defense system and leaving two dead in the aftermath. Over 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon, pounding the city and causing widespread destruction. The relentless assault claimed the lives of a man and a woman in their 40s, as emergency responders from the Magen David Adom ambulance service rushed to the scene.

Hezbollah confirmed the attack, framing it as retaliation and a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, as well as a defence of Lebanon. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that while some rockets were intercepted, multiple impacts resulted in significant damage and fatalities.
