WAYS OF THE WARRIOR, Turn Left Here, Ep.13

As part of Meiji Jingu Shrine Autumn Grand Festival there is a day of martial arts demonstrations. This is a special event, and gives spectators a chance to see a whole range of disciplines including Aikido, Iaido, Judo, Karate and Yabusame. The highlight of the day is Yabusame, archers competing on horseback. This will truly rransport you back in time. Archers wear hunting regalia accurate to the 12th century. We had a chance to get up close to the riders at the beginng of the event which was truly a gift.
