TEXAS | NEW MEXICO: Route 66, Cadillac Ranch, Midpoint Cafe, Blue Hole, Musical Highway, El Rancho

We are traveling along Route 66 in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van from Chicago to Los Angeles! In this video we are on the Texas and New Mexico stretch of Route 66!

After driving past the Conoco Tower Station and the Leaning Tower of Texas, we started our time in Texas at a Walmart to fix our flat tire. From there we visited Cadillac Ranch and the Midpoint Cafe which was the inspiration for Flo's Diner in the Disney/Pixar movie Cars!

As we traveled through New Mexico we stopped in at the Blue Hole, a perfect place to swim on a Route 66 Roadtrip! We also found and drove across the rumble strips on the Musical Highway where we heard the song, "America the Beautiful." We ended our time in New Mexico at the El Rancho Hotel. There are so many great things to do along Route 66, and we would 100% recommend these stops as we had the best time!
