NKP 765 - 760 Sings Again

Описание к видео NKP 765 - 760 Sings Again

On September 28, 29, and 30, 2018, Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive no. 765 was carrying the voice of one of her fallen sisters: engine no. 760. Built shortly before the 765, engine 760 was tragically scrapped in the early 1960s, but something of her had survived: the whistle. The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society installed the whistle on the engine for this weekend of trips to bring awareness to the Bring Back 757 effort by the Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum. The whistle of the 760 will be installed on 757 when her cosmetic restoration is complete, and it will likely never be blown under steam again. So to commemorate this historic event, let’s take a listen as 760 sings again.
