Recreating Early Colour Outside Broadcast

As part of the ADAPT research project into the history of television production technology (http://www.adapttvhistory.org.uk), a reunited team of veteran camera operators, directors and engineers recreated an outside broadcast recording using North 3, a restored Type II colour mobile control room.

This video shows how TV was made and how it looked to viewers at home watching colour TV at home for the first time in 1967.
