Majority of residents in Singapore live in public housing managed by the Housing Development Board (HDB). So this is a question that our team have always wondered: How do you plan HDB flats to be near amenities such as supermarkets and parks? Is there a template? We spoke to the folks at HDB to find out how our housing estates are planned and designed — from town planning right down to the details like playgrounds!
