How To Upgrade SSD & RAM On HP EliteBook Folio 9470M

Installing SSD instead of ordinary HDD is good decision almost in any case. This upgrade will greatly decrease time of loading any program from laptop storage to memory, because almost any modern laptop CPU loads data to RAM faster, than any laptop HDD can read. This video show HP EliteBook folio 9470m disassemble and upgrade hard drive to SSD process.

Step by step instructions:

1. Remove the battery.

2. Remove the hard drive cover by loosening the two holding screws. The screws will remain in the cover.

3. Unscrew the four screws holding the hard drive into the carriage. They also will remain in the housing.

4. Pull up on the tab to remove the hard drive.

5. Remove the plastic casing by unscrewing the four screws on the sides of the hard drive. .

6. Attach the new hard drive to the plastic casing with the four screws, ensuring the connector is aligned correctly, on the same end as the pull tab.

7. Reinsert the hard drive assembly into the laptop.

8. Tighten the four anchor around the hard drive in the carriage.

9. Slide the hard drive cover back into place and tighten the two holding screws

10. Reinsert the battery.
