Karl Rove defines "right populism" as the dysfunctional relationship between the little man and government - with money being taken from hard-working people for questionable government works. He sees "left populism" as a viewpoint that economic systems benefit big corporations, a situation that the little man believes can be repaired via "free things" from the government.
