1994 pure incident discovery of the U2 JoshuaTree in Death Valley National Park

On 16th of October 1994 I accidentely found the original joshua tree starring on the pictures found in connection with U2's "Joshua Tree" album.
This is a short film made from some VHS footage I made this day, re-discovered 16 years later...
The tree is history now, but I am glad that maybe I was the first one who re-discovered it ...and this by pure incident or lets say intuition.

This happened this way:

During my USA trip together with my dad in 1994 on the road to Death Valley I suddenly had the idea, that the U2 "Joshua Tree" album would perfectly fit the scene. So I grabbed the CD, put it into the player, started listening and looked into the booklet.
On the centerfold there is a panoramic picture showing the band in front of the tree and a mountain shilouette in the background.
I looked up from the picture trough the windshield and I SAW THE SAME MOUNTAIN SHILOUETTE IN REALITY !
I said to my dad "Wow, we are in the same area, maybe the joshua tree is somewhere around", exactly at this moment he spotted it some 100 meters away from the road and told "I think it is over there !"

It may sound unbelievable, but just at the moment we passed the tree I had the intuition to listen to the album and that lead us to it.

There was no internet these days, I had no idea, where the tree may be and even in which US state the picture was taken.

This are the miracles of life !

I hope the video I made now after a long period of time from the raw VHS footage can touch the special feeling of this spacial day in my life.
