Описание к видео Basic Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) Metrics for the Experimenter (066a2)

In this video, I walk through some of the basic specifications you will find on the datasheet for a Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT). There are a LOT more on the datasheet than I will cover here, but this will certainly get you started with the most important ones.
Along with this, I give some advice as to proper device selection for your application.
Lastly, I provide a quick Go - No Go test for your BJT. This test does NOT check to see if the transistor is operating according to datasheet specifications. It is intended to check to see if the transistor is obviously either partially or totally dead or if we might have some expectations that it might be OK.
I am assuming in the video that you have an understanding of what is happening at a PN junction. If you do not, I strongly recommend that you take in the video in this series on "Introducing the PN Junction Diode." The link is below.
