Today we are a nearest destination a hill station Ooty. 4th Dec 2021, We started from our apartment around 3.30 morning, after covering 2-3 tourist places in Ooty, we checked in at 2:15 pm Logan Camp a beautiful resort in Ooty. The tourist attractions and resort videos will be uploading as separate episodes soon.

We are going though Bandipur national park. Bandipur national park was established in 1974. It is located in Karnataka state of India. Karnataka has the second highest Tiger population in India. Along with adjacent Nagarhole park it’s one among the premier Tiger Reserves within the country. It was once a personal hunting reserve for the Maharaja of Mysore.
The park spans an area of 337 sq mi, protecting several species of India’s endangered wildlife. Together with the adjoining Nagarhole National Park 248 sq mi, Mudumalai National Park 120 sq mi.
Bandipur is located in Gundlupet taluq of Chamarajanagar district. It is about 80 kilometers from Mysore on the route to the tourist destination of Ooty. Therefore, Bandipur sees tons of tourist traffic and there are many wildlife fatalities caused by speeding vehicles that are reported annually. There is a ban on traffic from 9 pm to six am of dusk to dawn to assist bring down the death rate of wildlife.

On the way we visited Theppakadu Elephant Camp, Mudumalai. Theppakadu is a village in Nilgiris district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.[1][2] It has a reserve forest which is part of the Mudumalai National Park. It is 35 kms from here to ooty through mudumalai route.  Theppakadu is 240 km (150 mi) from Bangalore, via Mysore.
* This Theppakadu Elephant Camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve is one of the oldest camps in the Country. It was established way back in 1927. Presently 24 Elephants are maintained in the Theppakadu Elephant Camp.
