I heard about the Scary Canary sports bar in Cypress through the Houston Chow Hounds. We were a little unhappy with the Wing Boss and someone recommended the Scary Canary. It's a great place to watch a game because TV's line the place. There seemed to be only one server in the dining room when we arrived. She could have been a manager. She came over to take our drink order. Eventually a server came from the back with our drinks. She came back to take our order and it took awhile to get our food. When the food did arrive it was good. The wings were nice sized, crispy on the outside, and still juicy in the middle. The wings were not over-sauced and had good flavor. The ranch and blue cheese were solid. The waffle fries and fries were pale, but crispy and seasoned. The chicken tenders and sweet potato fries were good as well. The ice cream sandwich was a disappointment. It was Blue Bunny and just ok. The food is good, but they need more servers working. I will say that our server was friendly and did check on us, but it was too long between visits.
