Seventy-two students are honored as recipients of the Rotary Club of Harrisonburg’s 2024 Code of Ethics Awards. The awards are given at the club’s meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the James Madison University’s Festival Student and Conference Center Ballroom. Dr. Geary Cox, II, Foreign Affairs Officer at the United States Department of State, is the keynote speaker. Two students from each Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County elementary school, middle school, and high school, as well as Blue Ridge Christian School, Eastern Mennonite School, and Massanutten Technical Center are selected to be honored for their ethical behavior through the Rotary Ethics Awards Program. The students are selected from each school on the basis of truthfulness, fairness, consistency, dependability, integrity, service to others, concern for others, friendliness, depth of commitments and reverence.
