Make Your MacBook Air or Pro (incl. iPad with USB-C) Act Like an External Monitor

Описание к видео Make Your MacBook Air or Pro (incl. iPad with USB-C) Act Like an External Monitor

Yes, it is possible to use your MacBook Air or Pro, or even iPad (if it is a USB-C model) as an external monitor. This includes using it as an external monitor in extended mode not just as a mirror of the source computer.

In this video, you will see me use a 2020 MacBook Pro M1 as an extended external display to a Windows 11 PC. The source PC can be any computer that supports multiple displays. As for as the Apple PCs that can act as external displays:

Mac Minis Intel or Silicon
iMacs Intel or Silicon
MacBooks Air or Pro
iPads with a USB-C charge port

So if you have the regular or occasional need to connect an external monitor to a system, you do not have to tote around a physical monitor. Your MacBook or iPad can do the trick.

Any video capture device should work, but the one shown in the video can be purchased at Amazon with this link:

If you need a USB-C to HDMI adapter, this one is excellent quality. It is the one used in the video:
