The talk will then highlight the aims of The Grassington Mines Appreciation Group (GMAG), our progress so far and potential for future development.

John Helm
Dr John A Helm Chartered Scientist, Chartered Geologist, FGS EurGeol FRGS FLS.

Born and bred in Yorkshire Dales, Chairman of Grassington Mines Appreciation Group. Professional Geologist and Geophysicist, with a career in energy exploration (Oil, gas and geothermal).

Active member of Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (covering rescues above and below ground). Life member and Hon Secretary of The Craven Pothole Club (one of the largest caving clubs in the country founded in 1929).
