20+ Year Old Hyper 7 1/8 Buggy Nitro to Brushless Conversion with Mamba Monster X

My son and I had some fun getting my old Ofna/Hobao Hyper 7 Pro to run again! We got the nitro engine going surprisingly easily, but wanted the convenience of electric. We installed a Mamba Monster X ESC with a Castle Creations 1515 2200KV motor. Video is taken using anywhere from a 17 to 19 tooth pinion. With the 17 tooth, the car reached 49mph, 5mph faster than nitro. I am still using a 2)+ year old 75mHz radio that only has a range of about 150' before glitching and twitching.
Other parts used were:
Hobao VSE motor mount, which was a direct fit. I did add an additional hole for the 3rd screw for extra security.
Hobao VSE receiver box - This is pretty small I would recommend something bigger.
Losi 8ight Battery Tray - used existing holes in chassis to mount.
