One of the newest members to join the model fleet. Here i show you a close up view of this all new & long awaited model by Bachmann. I've yet to fit the bag of extra detail bits that come supplied with the model. The livery is BR (British Railways) Regional Railways Provincial. The model has been run in on DC control & is now fitted with a DCC Bachmann 21 pin decoder. You only need 1 DCC decoder for this train, as Bachmann have made the coupling bar so it incorporate's electrical connections. This means that the dummy car is also used for the power pick ups & also to control the lighting via the DCC decoder. A money saving idea, as it save's money by not having to fit a 2nd decoder in the dummy car. Also of note is that the powered car / unit has a whooping big chassis that fill's the interior, were as the dummy car has full interior detail. This layout is powered & under control via the Hornby Elite DCC controller.
