Lagavulin Offerman 4th Edition Caribbean Rum Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Gimmick or Good Whisky?

Today I'll be reviewing a brand new release in the Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky series. The 4th Edition of the Lagavulin Offerman 11 Year old is the Carribean Rum Cask finish. This Lagavulin Offerman edition started out maturing in Ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks but then was finished in Caribbean Rum Casks for eight months. Like all of the rest of the Lagavulin Offerman Editions this one has that 11 year age statement and was bottled at 46%. I enjoyed both the 2nd edition(Guinness Stout Cask) and 3rd Edition(Charred Oak Cask) so I felt like taking a chance on the 4th edition was a safe bet. However, I'm always at least a little bit skeptical of Celebrity marketed whiskies. So is this one marketing gimmicks or simply a good whisky? Watch along to find out. Thanks as always for watching!
