Presented here in full no-budget glory, my mid-2000's feature film, THE LONG ISLAND PROJECT. The movie was shot two-days a week, every week during the summer of 2005 (with the most expensive days every other Thursday to account for our retail pay-periods). We shot mainly in NYC, with one day in Long Island, a brief stint to New Jersey for establishing shots of Manhattan, and one exhausting day in Washington, DC.

I wrote the the screenplay in the spring of 2005, with the intention of collaborating with Frank Pina as co-directors. We borrowed a Sony VX2000E from one of the managers of the Virgin Megastore (where we were both employed), and that's what we shot on. The camera was a PAL edition from Europe and had originally been rescued from the lost and found bin at JFK airport.
