CORIOLIS ACCELERATION: Deriving the Equation

Описание к видео CORIOLIS ACCELERATION: Deriving the Equation

Description:
The following video derives the equation for the Coriolis Acceleration. The equation is derived using vector analysis, when applied to the example of a slider and rotating arm.

More often, the Coriolis Acceleration is derived using calculus, from a velocity equation. The approach used in the video uses vectors to achieve the same result, with the addition of providing a more intuitive understanding of the principals.

NOTE: at 4.33 the equation for centripetal acceleration is given, it should be a = (w^2) x r
