MOROCCO: PRESIDENT CLINTON ARRIVES FOR FUNERAL OF KING HASSAN II

A somber U-S President Bill Clinton arrived in Morocco on Sunday for the funeral of King Hassan the Second.

Clinton was accompanied by his wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea, as well as by former President George Bush and former secretaries of state Warren Christopher and James Baker.

Dressed in a black, pin-striped suit, Clinton conferred with members of the royal family at the airport.

He's spending 12 hours in the North African nation.

The president is among a number of foreign dignitaries attending the funeral.

He's expected to meet with a number of the foreign leaders during his stay, including Israeli Prime Minster Ehud Barak, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and NATO leaders.
