Jenn shares how at 39 years old she faces a metastatic diagnosis. She wants people to know that you can have metastatic disease and still live your life. Her diagnosis came after she was told she was too young for Breast cancer after she found a lump. two years later that lump changed and led her back to the doctor only to find that it was in fact cancer and it had spread. Facing stage 4 Breast caner it is now in her Lungs, some bones, and a brain tumor she has named "Fred". She has two types of Breast cancer. the primary tumor subtype is Triple positive and the other sub type is estrogen positive, Progesterone negative, and Her 2 negative. She underwent a Bilateral Mastectomy, opted out of reconstruction, sentinel node removal with 27 on her left and 6 on her right. She manages facing this diagnosis with three kids at home as life goes on juggling the routine of kids and life with the treatments and healing.

Jenn states how she was afraid of palliative care and what it meant, thinking it meant Hospice. Now she has learned they do symptom management, like pain control, anxiety, and physical therapy.

Jen has found that as hard as this is, there is always a silver lining and sometimes you have to fight to find it. There is always something throughout the journey to be grateful for. Most of the time it's her kids and the time with them.
