Turbo 5.3 LS Drag Car Build | Fuel Cell Mount Fab, Drilling and Tapping for Days

Описание к видео Turbo 5.3 LS Drag Car Build | Fuel Cell Mount Fab, Drilling and Tapping for Days

This time on SPPTV we are back at the House of Horsepower working on the Sonicstang. A 1992 Ford Mustang now powered by a 5.3 Gen 3 LS spooling a Borg Warner S475 TurboCharger! The Sonicstang is a budget build but some money was spent where it counts.

In this episode Clayton gets a lot done including a alternator mount bracket that works great with the custom accessory setup we are running on this car. He also does a lot of finishing work including drilling and tapping for fittings, plugging unused holes, installing the starter we got from the junkyard, and more!

Mike continues with fuel cell fabrication. This could have been done much more simply, by welding the aluminum angle iron to the tank at the level of the trunk floor, and bolting it in. BUT the Sonicstang's trunk floor is junk from the previous owner and will be replaced one day. So rather than build for today we built for tomorrow, and it will be a much more sturdy mount.
