E-bikes -- a viable mode of transportation | Matt Meleski | TEDxFlourCity

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What is an e-bike? Matt will answer this question in detail. He will also discuss the benefits of owning an e-bike, and the growing e-bike culture.

Matt Meleski is a self-made entrepreneur. He is the owner and proprietor of E-Bikes East (Est. 2011). E-Bikes East is a small organization that's primary focus is to improve the e-Bike culture and presence in the Rochester NY area. The organization provides clients with one off customized electric assist bicycles based on each client’s individual needs.

He has been an avid motorcyclist since he was 5 years old (23 years) and an avid cyclist since he was 15 years (13 years). Matt is a strong bicycle advocate and plays an active leadership role in the Rochester bicycle community. Some of his contributions include teaching others about bike etiquette and ride safety. This includes leading multiple weekly Rochester based bicycle rides as well as moderating a local online ROC bike forum that is used to plan rides, events and is a common place for everything bicycle.

Matt is also the proprietor of Media Entertainment Consulting (Est. 2009). A large format home theater design and installation company, that specializes in intricate projector systems and home media integration.

His strengths with complex electronics, bicycles, motorcycles, leadership and entrepreneurship give him the unique ability to empower the growing local e-Bike community in Rochester NY.
