Fender Stratocaster-Seymour Duncan Little '59 + Lindy Fralin PU's + Mesa Boogie Mark 3

Описание к видео Fender Stratocaster-Seymour Duncan Little '59 + Lindy Fralin PU's + Mesa Boogie Mark 3

Fender American Standard Stratocaster (2000) with a Seymour Duncan Little '59 mini humbucker in the bridge and Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Single Coils in the neck and middle positions.

Note that my Little '59 auto-splits in position 2. This means that when the bridge and middle PU's are selected I don't have to use a push-pull pot, a switch or anything to get that glassy "in between" tone. Still in position 1 (bridge PU alone) it remains of course a full on humbucker.

-Amp settings (1-10): Volume (Pre gain): 6 (pot pull: bright), Treble: 6.5 (pot pull: shift), Bass: 3, Middle: 5, Master: 1.5 (pull: deep), Lead Drive: 7, Lead Master: 2 (pull: bright), graphic EQ: "V" form setting (only the 2200 Hz is raised a little more than typically), Simul-class, Presence: 6, Reverb: 0

-Cabinet: 2x12 Cab with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.

-2 mics: Sennheiser e906 (dynamic mic) and Rode NT2-A (studio microphone). I was experimenting with different mics and mic combos in the past years (Shure sm57, beta 57, sm58, beta 58) and I've found these two the best so far. A condenser microphone gives you the warmth and a dynamic the crispy punch.

-Lexicon Omega Studio desktop recording audio interface (does a pretty great job)

-Macbook pro: Garageband for the sound; iMovie for the video and editing. No effects, EQ, mastering.

Background music: Forever Nite - Beyond life and dying
Outro music: Kris Barocsi - Don't let go

Enjoy it!
