The Ultegra XSE is the brand NEW big-pit surfcasting reel that Shimano is introducing to all saltwater enthusiasts. Having been based on our best selling long-range casting models, the new Ultegra features many prominent Shimano technologies.

During surfcasting a reel has to deal with repeated long-distance casting and challenging weather conditions. Although this can be a demanding fishing technique, it proves to be no problem for the new Ultegra XSE. Featuring Rigid cast, our new big-pit reel becomes an unstoppable casting machine. The retrieve is smooth, effortless and silent due to Infinity and Silent drive technologies.

The new Ultegra XSE comes with a matching spare spool. In order to aid efficient line loading three spool reducers in 3500, 6000 and 10000 sizes are also provided. These spool reduces are so lightweight they actually weigh less than the line they compensate for.
