The Donkin Reserve in Port Elizabeth has been transformed into a Beautiful Place including
a small restaurant adjacent to the Pyramid that commemorates Elizabeth Donkin.
There is also a huge 60 meter flag pole with the largest South African Flag which is lowered at 15:30 every day. On 27 December 2012 I captured this spectacle in a Westerly Gale. This clip appears to be long, but is worth watching to the end.
There is also some brilliant work by Port Elizabeth's renowned artist Anton Momberg which makes this site very well worth a visit when in Port Elizabeth
