Not sure if we should "mess" with the 1938 Ford 😬

We bought the 1938 Ford with the intention to customize it except now we're having cold feet... Nathan has been troubleshooting the flathead V8 engine to get it to run better so we're going to take it for a little test drive around the block and see how it's working. We are open to suggestions on what we should do to it... leave it original or customize it?
