This second movement turned out so beautiful and intimate! I never felt like I really understood it until I heard it this way. The arrangement takes inspiration from Bach Sarabandes - lots of rolled chords - and I wanted to have the parts interlacing and conversing. I think the end result showcases what I love about deconstructing and simplifying. For context, this is the second movement from my arrangement of Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Cellos. Originally, it was written for two cellos and orchestra. I took the solo parts and the orchestral parts and reduced them down to just two lines, so all the parts are incorporated. You don't even need a piano! It's perfect for teachers to play with their students, or just to play with your best cello buddy. :)
