Описание к видео Learn To Sign | Auslan & Key Word Sign | Toddler Learning Video | Talking Toddler With Ms Moni

Learn to sign with Ms Moni and Ms Michaela!
In this baby and toddler learning video Ms Moni is using KWSA (Key Word Signs Australia - previously known as Makaton). As she speaks and sings she is signing key words in the sentence.

These key signs are borrowed from Auslan, which is the sign language used in Australia by the Deaf community.

Ms Michaela is using Auslan.
It is a spatial and visual language with its own grammar and sentence structure; it’s also quite different to English!

Michaela is the founder of Awesome Auslan; she teaches Deaf Awareness Training and beginning Auslan to workplaces, organisations and community groups. She has also been a special education teacher for 18 years.

✅ We recommend that a parent or carer be present to interact with the videos along with the child. Using words, signs and songs from our videos in daily interactions with your child is also highly encouraged.

When children sing songs, they learn to focus, listen carefully and repeat what they’ve heard. Singing is an incredibly powerful language learning tool! Just like reading to your little one, singing songs with them helps to boost their vocabulary and language skills. The act of singing songs also helps children pick up on different sounds within words.

So get involved with the music, have some fun and help your little one get the most out of their active screen time.

Ms Moni has a First Class Honours degree in Music Performance from Griffith University as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Queensland. In the last 10 years she has taught classroom music from Kindergarten to Year 7 as well as violin to students of all ages.
