Bus Simulator 21 | Episode 6 - Tram Extension DLC | Tutorial & First Routes

It's launch day for trams in Bus Simulator 21!
This is a no commentary look at the opening missions:
Starting the Tram Quest
A New Beginning
Same, But Different

The tram DLC is the most expensive DLC of all at $19.99, but is included in the Season Pass. Personally, I find the season pass excellent value with the EBUSCO and School Bus DLC alone, and the large cost saving makes it worth it. As a standalone DLC, the two unlicenced trams are somewhat basic with door sounds recycled from the Citaro, and braking sounds just play on a loop when you hit the brakes.

However, recognising that Bus Sim 21 is clearly not aiming for complete realism of tram simulation here is key*, and instead the DLC provides additional fun gameplay and missions for players, with creating and adapting routes to fit in with your bus network the main draw. And it is nice to have more AI around too, despite there only being two trams in the DLC. What does sweeten the deal is that a dedicated game, Tram Simulator Urban Transit, will be yours upon release if you own this DLC. Essentially an expanded version of this DLC minus the buses, but with more tram models and route possibilities.
There is also something quite convenient about having a game which, whilst is not the best at either, brings together a fun take on bus and tram driving into one place.

*The tracks are not sunken into the ground, no overhead wires, the trams are not licensed vehicles like the buses, so on and so forth.

What do you think of this DLC?
