13-year old Carmen Lahrmann, "The Shirley Temple of Germany", recorded this song for "Shirley Auf Welle 303" (Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm). Carmen dubbed most of Shirley's movies for the German market from 1936 (Curly Top) to 1939 (Susannah of the Mounties) and recorded Shirley's songs for Deutsch Grammophon. Here, Carmen is backed by Berlin swing great Erhard Bauschke and his orchestra. The tempo is very close to the song in the film, so I was able to synch it to the original clip. I don't know if "Rebecca" was released with Carmen both singing and dubbing the dialog, or with Shirley singing her songs in English in addition to Carmen's vocal work.
