What Does DIY Feminism mean to you? | Grrrl Zine Fair at Village Green Festival

For Village Green Festival, Chalkwell Park 2019 Grrrl Zine Fair curated an entire site dedicated to celebrating zines, art and music made by womxn, trans, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ people, open to all, bringing our online community offline for the day.

Across a main stage, zine fair, exhibition space, workshop area and talks tent co-curated with gal-dem zine, we showcased the most exciting feminist work to 20,000 festival goers with the theme of doing it for ourselves; bringing together the community, collaborating together and making sure we take up space and have the most marginalised voices heard!

In this film we ask artists and performers what DIY means to them and how we can work together to inspire and empower future generations.
