On Christmas Eve, Saint Joseph’s Church at Victoria Street welcomed people from all walks of life to experience a cherished Catholic tradition — an evening of Christmas Carols followed by Mass. In Singapore’s diverse and multicultural society, such celebrations offer a meaningful window into how different faith communities express joy, hope, and togetherness.

The Sacred Heart Choir led the congregation through a moving musical retelling of the Nativity story. Through beloved hymns such Bo as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Do You Hear What I Hear, Mary’s Boy Child, Once in Royal David’s City, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, The First Noel, Angels We Have Heard on High, and Good Christian Friends, Rejoice, the story of Christmas unfolded not just as a religious narrative, but as a universal message of peace and goodwill.
